The wings were later provided with 22m wingtip extensions (later shortened to 21m).
The aircraft is flown primarily as a 26 m muitiplace by removing the outer wingtip extensions.
Most of these aircraft were later offered with wingtip extensions allowing them to be flown with wingspans of 17 to 18m.
In addition to these traditional sailplane categories, the popularity of wingtip extensions for 15m sailplanes has led to the formation of the new 18m Class.
